Website: https://ExpiringEmail.com
Operated by: Dot Coms, Inc. (a non-profit initiative)

1. Introduction

Welcome to ExpiringEmail.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a non-profit web-based service operated by Dot Coms, Inc. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) establish a legal agreement between you (“you,” “your,” or “User”) and Dot Coms, Inc. By accessing and using the website located at https://ExpiringEmail.com (the “Site” or “Service”), you confirm that you understand, accept, and agree to comply with these Terms in full.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please discontinue use of the Site immediately. Your access to and use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle and protect your data.

ExpiringEmail.com is offered as a public-interest utility for enhancing online privacy and is not designed for commercial exploitation or permanent email use.

2. Purpose of the Service

The core function of ExpiringEmail.com is to provide users with a temporary, disposable email address that allows for the receipt of email messages over a short lifespan—typically for minutes or hours—after which all messages and inbox data are permanently deleted. This service is particularly useful for signing up for websites, receiving verification codes, and shielding personal email accounts from spam or intrusive marketing.

As a non-profit initiative, ExpiringEmail.com operates without monetization mechanisms such as advertising, subscriptions, or data selling. The project is entirely funded and maintained by Dot Coms, Inc. to serve the digital public good by promoting anonymous, secure, and clutter-free email usage for short-term needs.

The Service is not intended to be used for critical communications, long-term correspondence, or the transmission of confidential, sensitive, or private information.

3. Eligibility

The Service is available to all users who can lawfully enter into binding contracts under applicable laws. By using this Site, you affirm that:

  • You are at least 13 years of age or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction.

  • You are using the Service for lawful and ethical purposes only.

  • You are not using the Service on behalf of a company or organization unless expressly permitted.

  • You are not prohibited from accessing or using the Service by any applicable law, regulation, or authority.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 13. If we become aware that someone under 13 has used the Site, we will take steps to delete any associated information.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

Your use of ExpiringEmail.com must at all times comply with the following rules. You agree not to use the Service:

  • To send unsolicited commercial messages (spam)

  • To impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity

  • To engage in fraudulent, illegal, or misleading activity, including phishing

  • To transmit harmful, malicious, or disruptive code, including viruses or malware

  • To harass, intimidate, threaten, or abuse others

  • To circumvent or attempt to circumvent any access restrictions or security measures

  • To overload or interfere with the functioning of the Site, its servers, or infrastructure

  • In violation of any local, national, or international law or regulation

Dot Coms, Inc. reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or permanently terminate access to any user or IP address that we believe is violating these terms or otherwise endangering the integrity or purpose of the Service.

5. Temporary Nature of Email Addresses

The email inboxes and addresses generated through ExpiringEmail.com are strictly temporary and designed to automatically expire after a predetermined time window. This means:

  • Messages are typically stored for a short period (e.g., 10–60 minutes, subject to change based on server load or abuse policies).

  • After expiration, all emails and inbox data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

  • There is no user account system; each inbox is transient and anonymous.

Users are advised not to use this Service for:

  • Receiving sensitive personal information (e.g., medical records, banking details)

  • Legal or contractual communications

  • Ongoing correspondence or long-term communication

We disclaim any responsibility for the loss of any content once it has expired or been purged from our servers.

6. Privacy and Data Practices

ExpiringEmail.com is committed to the privacy of its users. As a matter of policy and design, we do not collect personal data from users. Specifically:

  • We do not require or request registration, names, emails, or passwords.

  • IP addresses may be temporarily logged to monitor service abuse and ensure security but are discarded within a short timeframe.

  • No emails are retained after their expiration period.

  • We do not sell, trade, or share user data with third parties for any purpose.

This Service operates in accordance with privacy-first principles and aims to minimize all data collection. Our infrastructure and codebase are periodically reviewed to ensure alignment with non-profit ethics and digital civil liberties.

For more information, refer to our full Privacy Policy (if applicable).

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is,” “with all faults,” and “as available.” Dot Coms, Inc. makes no warranties, either express or implied, regarding the Service’s operation, availability, security, or reliability. Without limiting the foregoing:

  • We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

  • We do not guarantee delivery, receipt, or security of any email message.

  • We disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

You acknowledge and accept the risks inherent in using an anonymous, untracked, and ephemeral email service. We do not provide backup services or message archiving. Once a message is deleted or the inbox expires, it is irreversibly lost.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dot Coms, Inc. shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Loss of data or content

  • Loss of business or revenue

  • Unauthorized access to your communications

  • Damage to your device, network, or data

  • Any third-party conduct involving messages sent to your temporary inbox

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so these limitations may not apply to you. In such cases, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dot Coms, Inc., its board members, officers, affiliates, employees, and volunteers from any claim, liability, loss, or expense (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of:

  • Your use or misuse of the Service

  • Your violation of these Terms

  • Your violation of any rights of a third party, including intellectual property or privacy rights

  • Any content or material submitted via the Service using a temporary email address

This obligation survives the termination of your use of the Service.

10. Modifications to the Service and Terms

Dot Coms, Inc. reserves the right to update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. This includes altering functionality, adjusting message retention periods, or implementing abuse prevention measures.

We may also revise these Terms periodically. The date at the top of this document reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

11. Termination of Access

We may, at our sole discretion, restrict or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason. Grounds for termination may include but are not limited to:

  • Violations of these Terms

  • Abuse or misuse of the Service

  • Use of the Service to engage in harmful or unlawful behavior

  • Technical or operational disruptions caused by your access

You understand that termination may occur without notice and that all associated data, inboxes, and messages will be deleted in accordance with our operational policy.
